{"id":12874,"date":"2015-06-05T10:31:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-05T09:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=12874"},"modified":"2015-06-15T10:38:17","modified_gmt":"2015-06-15T09:38:17","slug":"message-to-all-our-colleagues-post-2004-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renouveau-democratie.eu\/fr\/2015\/06\/message-to-all-our-colleagues-post-2004-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Message to all our colleagues post 2004"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n<p>We are a group of post-2004 permanent staff running on the <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>R<\/strong><strong>&amp;<\/strong><strong>D<\/strong><\/span> ticket in order to defend our rights and working con\u00additions.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">We encourage you to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>vote List No. 9<\/strong><\/span> for a lot of very good reasons:<\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>WE REPRESENT ALL STAFF<\/strong><strong>!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 We stand for the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>most balanced representation<\/strong> <\/span>of post- and pre-2004 staff, to protect the interests of each and every EU civil servant or agent, regardless of their job category, age or gender \u2013 from entering into service until retirement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>R<\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&amp;<\/strong><\/span><strong>D<\/strong><\/span> is currently the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>biggest trade union across the institutions<\/strong> <\/span>and the best represented in Staff Committees, with <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>many post-2004 colleagues elected from our lists<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>WE HAVE PROVEN OURSELVES!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 During the last Staff Regulation negotiations among trade unions, we rejected all attempts to widen even further the gaps between colleagues \u2013 or worse, to turn them against each other! This helped us <strong>avoid drastic cuts<\/strong> in salaries, leave entitlements, and staff numbers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 We have and will <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>defend the acquired rights<\/strong> <\/span>of all colleagues. The integrity of our salaries and pensions is para\u00admount for junior and senior officials alike. <a href=\"\/?page_id=10977\">Here is how we do it&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>WE STAND UP FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>10 years on from the disastrous Kinnock reform is no time for scholarly analyses, reporting, and score-settling\u2026 The delay in careers imposed on post-2004 colleagues cannot be reversed through the promotion exercise alone, nor through the limited number of cascades to lower grades that are allowed. It is time to make fair but realistic operational proposals! We offer <a href=\"http:\/\/elections.renouveau-democratie.eu\/en\/post-2004-colleagues\"><strong>a comprehensive strategy for change<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>WE PROMISE TO WORK TOWARDS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A multiannual plan for AD and AST internal competitions<\/strong> <\/span>that meet the expectations of post-2004 colleagues \u2013 i.e. that are fair, transparent, and free from political pressure (anonymous testing!);<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Breaking the current glass ceiling on the careers of women and EU-13 staff. We practice what we preach \u2013 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>we are the only list headed by two EU13 women <\/strong> <\/span>and the current LSC president and secretary are both women and EU13 (nos. 1 and 4 respectively on <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>R<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&amp;<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>D<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>list No. 9<\/strong><\/span>);<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Improving the working conditions for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>those most vulnerable<\/strong> <\/span>\u2013 such as temporary staff, parents with small chil\u00addren, low-income employees and civil servants at the beginning or end of their careers;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A modern European Public Service<\/strong> <\/span>based on a new vision of management: <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>responsibility + liberty =<\/strong> <strong>better per\u00adformance and greater satisfaction at work<\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Better working conditions and well-being: support for authentic pro-health measures by the Commission, including a better work\/life balance, healthy transport to work, more nurseries\/schools, higher standards in buildings.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>WE STAND FOR THE RENEWAL OF STAFF REPRESENTATION!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>During the last Staff Regulation reform, the negotiating position of the staff representatives was not strengthened due to some organisations trying to divide the staff instead of standing for the common good. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>We need to stand prepared for the next round of reforms, we cannot afford to lose due to internal divisions!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We must ensure that post-2004 colleagues take on a greater share of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>That is why we are on <span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>R<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&amp;<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>D<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>list No.9<\/strong><\/span>, and in such great numbers, too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>We count on your support \u2013 together we are strong!<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>VOTE<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>R<\/strong><\/span><strong>&amp;<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">D<\/span>, <\/strong><strong>LIST N\u00b0 <\/strong><strong>9<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues, We are a group of post-2004 permanent staff running on the R&amp;D ticket in order to defend our rights and working con\u00additions.
